Reflection on the MBSR Workshop
First and foremost, I am very grateful to the people who joined this workshop. It has always been my vision to share mindfulness meditation with more people. I was deeply moved by everyone's enthusiasm and positivity during this event. I hope that through this experience, everyone has gained a deeper understanding of mindfulness meditation and will try to practice it in their daily lives.
The most significant insight I gained from this event is that stress is omnipresent in everyone's life. As our material living standards improve, our spiritual well-being seems increasingly lacking. "Happiness" has become very expensive because satisfying material desires seems to have become synonymous with "happiness." However, the moment of satisfaction is very fleeting. Over time, those things and people that once made us happy can very likely become the causes of our stress.
Because of this, the number of people in today's society suffering from mental health issues such as psychological disorders, depression, and anxiety due to various pressures is increasing. Learning how to "get along" with stress has become an urgent matter. I have noticed that more and more people are beginning to pay attention to information on mental health, which is a good sign. It shows that many people have realized that these problems exist in their lives to some extent. Discovering the problem is the beginning of solving the problem.
Many of the friends who attended this event are old friends I've known for many years, and some are new friends I met at other events. I was deeply touched by everyone's eagerness to learn about mindfulness meditation. Those old friends learned about this project through me and found it interesting enough to give it a try. This is the original intention behind why I wanted to become a mindfulness meditation teacher: to introduce it to my family and friends and, through my actions, spark their interest and attention. Perhaps they, too, can gain healing from it. What I found very interesting is that since I started working in this field, my family and friends have all begun to pay attention to this information. Sometimes, they even share articles about mindfulness meditation with me. I realize that when you engage in something, it influences those around you. Especially if it's something they didn't care about before, because of me, they have also started their own explorations. This makes me very happy.
I will continue to spread information about mindfulness meditation through workshops. Please stay updated via the website.
Thank you!
